For the theme of "faith"
for the photo of the
week, I decided to go to
my church to see if
something stood out to
me. As I was walking around the grounds of St. Joseph's, I saw the
brightly colored statue of Mary. Someone had put vibrantly-colored
flowers into her vase and hands, and I thought that Her statue was very
beautiful. I think that the composition is good, and I tried to follow the
rule of thirds by putting Mary more towards the left. I also like how it
is not a straight on photo.
This makes Her look like
she is staring off into
the heavens,which I
liked. I took it around
4 o'clock so I used the
natural sunlight to light
my picture. I took it with
an upgraded point and
shoot camera with no
special settings.

Clever use of center justification and returns!
